DONE DEAL : Los Angeles Dodgers announced the trade of another 25 year old potential star to their roster

The MLB trade deadline is quickly approaching on July 30, and trade rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers are just heating up. They enter the deadline in sole possession of first place in the NL West, with a 7.5-game advantage over the San Diego Padres. However, the Dodgers are in a very competitive division, facing not just the Padres but also the reigning National League champions, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

While the Dodgers appear to be one of the top teams in MLB today, they still have a long way to go before making it back to the World Series. The Dodgers, who are known for their aggressiveness, would not surprise anyone if they made a substantial roster acquisition before the trade deadline, and they are involved in numerous potential trades.

Garrett Crochet, an All-Star lefty for the Chicago White Sox, has been connected to the Dodgers on numerous occasions. The White Sox aren’t going anywhere this season, so anyone in the Windy City is open for trade, but Crochet is still under contract until 2027, so he’s not guaranteed to be traded.

However, one MLB insider feels differently. In fact, he predicts that Crochet will be traded to the Dodgers within the following week.

ESPN believes Garrett Crochet’s trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers is virtually done.
According to ESPN MLB analyst Jesse Rogers, a Garrett Crochet trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers “feels inevitable.” “One NL executive believes the Chicago White Sox will indeed trade both Luis Robert Jr. and Garrett Crochet, saying Crochet to the Los Angeles Dodgers feels inevitable.” – Jesse Rogers on Los Angeles Dodgers trade for Garrett Crochet Of course, like any trade, making a move for Crochet carries a great amount of risk for the Dodgers. Previously a reliever, this is the first season Crochet has been operating as a starting pitcher in MLB. He’s also only pitched 66.3 innings with the White Sox since 2021, and he’s already nearly doubled that workload, with

Others have concerns that Crochet may not be able to hold up over a full season as a starter, meaning the Dodgers may have to skip some starts or potentially moves him back to the bullpen down the stretch to avoid injury. However, with him throwing so brilliantly, getting him off the mound is much easier said than done. There’s also the cost issue. Crochet is considered one of the top pitchers available at the trade deadline, thus any move would most likely include numerous high-level prospects and/or MLB-ready players in exchange. However, an exorbitant price tag has never stopped the Dodgers before. Let’s see if that changes this week.
