Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, has signed to a four-year contract extension worth $220 million, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The individual spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the agreement has not yet been revealed.

Love’s new contract includes a $75 million signing bonus and $155 million in guarantees.

Love led the NFL’s youngest club to a 10-9 record and playoff berth last season in his first year as a starter, standing up to the burden of replacing four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the New York Jets in.

April 2023. Love’s agreement was initially reported by the NFL Network. ESPN initially revealed the amount of the signing bonus and guaranteed money.

The news of Love’s agreement came on the same day that Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa signed to a four-year extension worth $212.4 million. Earlier this offseason, Detroit’s Jared Goff signed a four-year, $212 million agreement with $170 million guaranteed, while Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence agreed to a five-year, $275 million extension with $142 million guarantee.

The 25-year-old Love had not been practicing with the Packers in training camp this week as contract negotiations were ongoing, but he had been attending workouts and taking part in all other team activities. Love’s contract was slated to expire at the end of the upcoming season.
