Middlesbrough have begun talks to sign Bristol City forward Tommy Conway, according to Ron Walker.

Michael Carrick’s team will be hoping to break into the top six coming season, and they’ve already made good progress this summer.
Bristol City are expecting to improve their consistency this season and get closer to the top six, but it may be too soon for Liam Manning’s team.
Conway, 21, played 39 championship games for the Robins last season. He scored 10 league goals and assisted one, while also scoring twice in four FA Cup appearances.
He turned down a new deal with Ashton Gate this summer and has since been training.
With the U21, a departure is inevitable.
According to sources, Middlesbrough has begun talks to sign Conway, but the talks are still in the early stages.

The 21-year-old would be an excellent signing for Boro.
Carrick’s side could need another player at number nine, and Conway brings both Championship quality and potential to the table.
He scored 12 goals in 34 second-tier games during the 2022/23 season, and a player like Conway usually comes at a premium.
However, with his contract with Bristol City expiring next summer and no prospect of him signing an extension, it appears that he will be available at a significantly reduced price this summer.

Meanwhile, Manning will be hoping that his first full season with Bristol City would be more successful than his previous ones.
The former MK Dons and Oxford United manager won 12 of his first 35 games, but with the summer behind him, there is confidence that his values can shine through this season.
There are still four weeks left in the summer timeframe, and the season begins in less than two weeks.
