Hull City has joined Portsmouth and Cardiff City in their pursuit of Manchester City player Alex Robertson this summer, according to BBC correspondent Rob Phillips on X.
Hull City are reportedly interested in acquiring the Premier League player as they look for further additions under new manager Tim Walter. They switched to the German earlier this summer after parting ways with Liam Rosenior.
Robertson, 21, was on loan to Portsmouth last season to gain experience. He appeared in 27 games across all competitions, 23 of which were in the league, as they went on to win the League One title under John Mousinho and secure their long-awaited return to the second division.

Journalist Phillips has indicated on X that the Tigers, along with Portsmouth and Cardiff City, are interested in him. They have been prudent with their recruiting in this window, bringing in only Ryan Giles and Cody Drameh from Luton Town and Leeds United, respectively.
Hull City has joined Portsmouth in their transfer hunt.
Robertson went to England from Australia in 2015, first playing for Manchester United.
After a few years, he joined Manchester City and has been with the club ever since.
The Australia international, who has two caps, has never played a senior game for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Robertson was loaned out for the first time by the North West club to Ross County in the Scottish Premiership to get playing experience.
He then joined Portsmouth last year and was a huge success at Fratton Park before suffering an injury.
City now has a significant decision to make about what to do with him next, and if he is permitted to leave again, they must locate the suitable home. Hull City is now in contention, but requires further players to strengthen their roster.
Their roster is currently thin, and Robertson may be viewed as a player to improve their alternatives in the center of the park.
If he transfers to the MKM Stadium, he will compete with the
Jean Michael Seri, Regan Slater, and Xavier Simons are all vying for a starting position in the middle of the park.
Walter’s team will face Bristol City at home on the first day, followed by a Carabao Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday.
