On Tuesday, the Toronto Raptors introduced a new logo to mark the team’s 30th season, 2024-2025.
The franchise has made public a “commitment to a year-long calendar of special moments and events honouring the culture, the city and the icons that uplifted the Toronto Raptors and will continue to move the organization forward.”
“We’re always looking ahead, working for our next championship, but years like this are a good time to reflect on our team’s history and the incredible things we’ve accomplished together, with the support of our fans, our organization, and our ownership,” club president and vice-chairman Masai Ujiri said in a statement. “Rookie of the Year.” Our numerous All-Stars, and a great All-Star weekend in 2016. And, of course, our championship.
brought fans from across the country and around the world together. Let us enjoy these milestones as we look forward to adding more to the list in the coming decades.” The team stated one of the activities planned is a commemoration of Vince Carter’s 2000 Slam Dunk Contest victory, which will be 25 years ago.
The logo itself depicts the team’s main emblem as a zero, with a “3” alongside it to form a “30.” One variant of the design shows the Raptors from the team’s initial alternate logo biting at the zero.
The NBA schedule for 2024-2025 is likely to be revealed in August. The Raptors’ preseason schedule will begin on Oct. 6 against the Washington Wizards at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
