JUST IN : Aaron Judge gets 100% real on Yankees trade deadline

Aaron Judge reacted to the Yankees’ moves.
The New York Yankees made many deals prior to the 2024 MLB trade deadline. The acquisitions of Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Mark Leiter Jr. paved the path for the team. However, the Yankees reportedly declined to trade for Jack Flaherty. So, how does Aaron Judge assess New York’s overall 2024 MLB trade deadline performance?
“It’s great. “We got some good guys already making contributions so far,” Judge said on Tuesday, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. “We saw what Jazz (Chisholm) did tonight, and then Mark (Leiter Jr.)—I don’t think he had time to take off his airline shoes, dude. It’s impressive. “We have some good guys.”

Chisholm has had a remarkable start to his Yankees career. So far, the former Miami Marlins star has reacted to playing for the Yankees, as has Hoch.

“This is what I live for.” I adore the lights. “I enjoy the large crowds,” Chisholm stated on Tuesday. “I enjoy things like that. So it’s quite thrilling. “I am enjoying it.”

Aaron Judge hopes Yankees 'start making moves' ahead of trade deadline

The Yankees’ fresh roster required further offensive help. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto have been the Yankees’ only reliable batters in 2024. Chisholm wasn’t playing particularly well in Miami, but he has the potential to be a great.

Chisholm has four home runs in his first three games with the Yankees, a feat unprecedented in franchise history. There is no assurance that Chisholm will continue to play at such a high level for the rest of the season, but adding him is an upgrade.

Leiter’s addition gives the club relief depth. Over the years, New York has worked hard to build a high-quality bullpen. When it comes to the bullpen, they seem to be always eager to add and eliminate swiftly as needed. The Yankees are a legitimate contender in 2024. Will they win their first World Series since 2009?
