JUST IN : Caleb Williams drops 1-word response to CJ Stroud question

Bears fans will be pleased if Caleb Williams performs like CJ Stroud. The Chicago Bears may have discovered their franchise quarterback, but Caleb Williams must first prove it. The 2024 first-round draft pick can use Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud’s 2023 season as a pattern for his rookie year in the NFL.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has already contrasted the two intriguing talents.
Caleb Williams has the talent to lead the Bears to the promised land. Williams’ abilities are evident, as the 2022 Heisman winner ended with 93 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while throwing for nearly 10,000 yards in three college seasons. Once he learns how to read and analyze NFL defenses, he should be able to succeed on the field.

However, not everyone believes Williams’ personality will gel with his new teammates. According to The Carton Show, former New York Giants star Amani Toomer was dissatisfied with the rookie quarterback’s instruction to the team to be more organized in the locker room.

“He is Russell Wilson 2.0.” “This will not go over well,” Tooner warned. “Some rookie’s gonna come in who hasn’t played one snap, talking, wearing the fingernail polish, now he’s gonna come in here and tell me, who has been here, been through the struggle, that I need to clean up?”

Chicago safety Kevin Byard discussed Williams’ locker-room cleanliness plan to 670 The Score.

“First thing he said was, ‘Hey, man, we’re all grown men here, right?'” Byard spoke. “He said, ‘We’re becoming a touch too sloppy. We are leaving water bottles, towels, and other items around. Custodians must cover a large amount of square footage across this entire facility. Let’s assist them out by cleaning up after ourselves. When you want to be a great player, you always pay attention to the small things—not just the specifics of the game, but everything around you.”

In theory, keeping a clean and orderly locker room isn’t a big deal, but not everyone wants to follow instructions from a novice. However, if Williams starts well this season,

He’ll have plenty of authority to encourage healthy practices.
With Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, D’Andre Swift, Cole Kmet, and fellow rookie Rome Odunze at his disposal this season, the 22-year-old’s neat freak and fingernail-painting tendencies are unlikely to interfere with his touchdown-scoring abilities.
