The midfielder, who had spent 14 years in north London, left Arsenal last week after agreeing to a club-record £34 million deal with the Cottagers.
Mikel Arteta, who is incredibly well-liked by Gunners fans, said that he was “sad” to let the 24-year-old depart.
However, he would have had difficulty getting playing time at Arsenal, and Fulham appears to have a motivated guy who is ready to come up this season and have a great Premier League season.
