EA released their Superstar mode deep dive for Madden NFL 25 earlier today, detailing the new features and updates coming to the mode. These include the option for players to import their Road to Glory avatar from College Football 25, the NFL scouting combine, the 3-on-3 Superstar Showdown and more.
In Madden NFL 25’s Superstar mode, players start by choosing their physical avatar and archetype. New preset archetypes allow for varied maximum ratings. Players begin with a rating of 60, capped at 84, but can use creation points to boost stats. For example, as a QB, three points can increase throw power from 60 to 75, raising the maximum rating to 99 and unlocking gold-level Arm Talent.
Players must balance creation points between core skills (like throw power) and physical skills (like speed), impacting field performance. The Archetype screen displays current ratings, potential, creation points, and ability tiers. Customization also includes more faces, hairstyles, facial hair and tattoos.
The return of EA Sports College Football also brings back a classic Madden feature: Player Import. This allows players to bring their Road to Glory avatars into Superstar mode, carrying their collegiate legacy into the NFL. From college freshman to NFL star, players can now experience the full journey. Importing a character from College Football 25’s Road to Glory grants additional creation points beyond the base cap 15.
