  • Rising American football star Carson Beck, quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs, just went Instagram official with basketballer Hanna Cavinder of the Miami Hurricanes
  • He makes an estimated US$1.6 million in NIL – ‘name, image and likeness’ – earnings, and the self-proclaimed ‘car guy’ is already driving a Lamborghini Urus Performante valued at US$270,000

In a world where sports fans are just as interested in how famous sportsmen perform off the court as they are on the court, a new cross-sport power couple appears to have arisen.
Carson Beck, the Georgia Bulldogs’ quarterback, looks to have gone Instagram official with Hanna Cavinder of the Miami Hurricanes basketball team. On July 22, Beck took to Instagram with a series of images captioned “gvo” (positive vibes only). One photo, however, stole the show: it depicts a touching moment between Beck and Cavinder, their hands interlaced.

According to Us Weekly, the world first became aware of these two collegiate sports icons’ whirlwind courtship during Fourth of July celebrations. A TikTok snippet added fire to the gossip mill, showing Beck with not just Cavinder, but also her twin sister Haley Cavinder and Haley’s boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys player Jake Ferguson. A double date, perhaps? So, who is this quarterback who seems to have captured Cavinder’s heart?

Carson Beck’s sister participates in beauty pageants. Carson Beck is the son of Chris Beck, a former military officer, and Tracy Beck, who previously worked at Duval County Public Schools, according to Sportskeeda.

Carson’s sister Kylie made waves in 2021, winning two beauty pageant titles: Young Miss Freedom USA and Miss Capital City’s Outstanding Teen. According to Kylie’s Instagram, she is also an ardent dancer and cheerleader at the University of Georgia. The Becks are frequently seen accompanying her performances.

He’s been an American football star since high school.
The 22-year-old quarterback, who hails from Florida, was destined for greatness since high school. Beck, who won the prestigious 2018 Florida Mr. Football title, began his rise with 3,546 yards and 39 touchdowns in just 14 games during his junior year at Mandarin High School, according to The Florida Times-Union.

He transferred from Alabama to Georgia to attend college. Beck went from Alabama to the University of Georgia in 2019 for a variety of reasons, including a staff shakeup at the University of Alabama, according to AL.

According to Sports Illustrated, Beck enrolled early in the spring 2020 semester and wore the crimson and black of the Georgia Bulldogs, etching his mark in collegiate sports lore.

He owns a Lamborghini. Beck also has a preference for high-end automobiles. DawgNation reported earlier this year that Beck purchased a sleek black Lamborghini Urus Performante with a staggering retail value of roughly US$270,000.

“I’ve always been a car guy since I was a kid,” Beck stated at a press conference on the first day of spring practice in March. After receiving criticism for “spending money” on a sports automobile, he merely shrugged it off, adding, “It’s not that big of an issue. “I just drive it.”

What is Carson Beck’s net worth? According to Yardbarker, Beck’s net worth as of February was a paltry $200,000. However, given his excessive spending on his Lamborghini, that sum must pale in compared to his true net worth.

His expected NIL earnings are a cool US$1.6 million, putting him sixth in the college football NIL rankings. (NIL stands for “name, image, and likeness” and refers to college athletes’ capacity to earn from themselves through marketing and promotional opportunities.) He apparently has profitable ties with Associated Credit Union, The Players’ Lounge, and Zero FG Energy. At the conclusion of last year, DawgNation ranked the gifted quarterback as the seventh-best prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. According to The New York Times, there were concerns about Beck’s future with the Bulldogs at the time. There were also allegations that he was asking for US$4 million from the Georgia collective—a group that promotes endorsement opportunities for athletes, generally formed by university alumni – before returning, however he has subsequently refuted the allegations while still playing for his university team.”Obviously, being the quarterback at the University of Georgia, there’s going to be NIL opportunities,” he told the same outlet. “But that was never a main factor in my decision to come back.”
