LATEST UPDATE: Nick Saban gave a stirring statement on the importance of proper development for his favourite super star.

Nick Saban has won seven national titles, so he is no stranger to winning pivotal moments in football. The football icon has been around long enough to know how to coach players in the right way. Above all, he has experience developing young quarterbacks.

That’s why, in the first Hard Knocks episode, he was the ideal visitor at the Chicago Bears’ Halas Hall headquarters.

In the video, Saban can be heard explaining to Chicago head coach Matt Eberflus what needs to happen in order for a rookie like Caleb Williams to play to the best of his abilities. (Note: In 1990, Eberflus was a linebacker for Saban in Toledo.)

Saban covers a number of important topics, such as protecting the quarterback from criticism in front of his teammates and fostering a positive relationship between slow progress and the pressure of public and fan expectations.

Caleb Williams' Chicago Bears journey promises to be fascinating

Watch the clip below to see how seriously Eberflus takes the important conversation that Saban is having with him:
The Bears will once again be a title contender if they can get Williams to play to his full ability. Everyone in the company is aware of it. It is not an option to fail to do so. And you put down whatever you’re doing to listen to someone like Saban express his opinions.
