“I haven’t really interacted with any of my teammates,” Duran told reporters on Monday. “I’ve just been trying to keep my distance from them.” I don’t want to bother them with something I did, nor do I want to have them caught up in all of this. It’s on me. It is my fault. And I simply need to do better.”

The Red Sox also announced on Monday that Duran’s salary from his two-game suspension will be donated to PFLAG (Federation of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), the largest organisation in the United States dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and those who love them.
