For the second year in a row, the Georgia Bulldogs are rated #1 in the preseason AP Poll. After finishing 8-0 in the SEC and 13-1 overall in 2023, UGA earned 1,532 points and 46 first-place votes.
Additionally, Georgia leads the 2024 preseason Coaches Poll, which was just revealed a week ago, for the second time in a row.
In the preseason AP Poll, five of Georgia’s opponents in 2024 are rated. Fourteen teams are in the rankings: the Ole Miss Rebels, Clemson Tigers, Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Volunteers, and Clemson Tigers.
Oregon in third place and Ohio State in second place complete the preseason AP Poll top five.
The SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the AP Top 25 Poll. The Big Ten is second with six teams, followed by the Big 12 with five. On Saturday, August 31, Georgia will play the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, to kick off the 2024 campaign. ABC will broadcast the game live at 12:00 ET (Get Tickets).
