Anthony Edwards Get Another Special Gift from Adidas After USA Olympic Gold Medal Win

Anthony Edwards will be wearing more than just a gold medal around his neck.

Adidas rewarded the Minnesota Timberwolves star with a bespoke pair of AE1s to commemorate his contribution to Team USA’s gold medal win in the Paris Olympics.
It’s not every day that a 23-year-old is coming off a breakout season that included a Western Conference Finals appearance and an Olympic gold medal, and Adidas took advantage of the occasion.

The gold shoes represent additional flare for a player who plays one of the most flashy games in the NBA. During the Olympics, he was the team’s fourth-leading scorer, trailing only future Hall of Famers and all-time greats such as Stephen

Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. Edwards helped to solidify the secondary unit and gave a spark that other countries struggled to replicate.

In an ideal scenario for the Timberwolves, he would build on his Olympic experience and become an even greater player for the 2024-25 season. That is surely a frightening prospect for the rest of the NBA, as Edwards recently led Minnesota to the Western Conference Finals while averaging 25.9 points per game.

If he makes the next step, the Larry O’Brien Trophy might be the next gold medal he wins.
