BREAKING NEWS : Brentford are now set to announced the departure of their key player

According to Tipsbladet, FC Copenhagen has reached an agreement to buy Mathias Jørgensen from Brentford this summer.

It was also reported that they had reached an agreement with the centre-back on a two-year contract, and the transfer would go effect once the Bees found a replacement.

According to a new rumour from Tipsbladet, the Danish club will not sign the Brentford player.

Anderlecht has entered the race, and the 34-year-old has agreed to join them. He had less than a year left on his contract with the Premier League club, but he will leave as a free agent during this window.

Jørgensen reportedly received full payment from Thomas Frank for the final year of his contract.
