Preseason odds show that the Florida Gators will be underdogs in eight games this season, which is unusual for a major college football program, particularly one that competes in the Southeastern Conference.
The Gators will not be favoured against: Miami -3, Texas A&M -3, Tennessee -10, Georgia -21, Texas -17, LSU -6, Ole Miss -6, and Florida State -11.
Florida would be favoured by 6 points or less at home against UCF and Kentucky, and Mississippi State on the road.
The Gators’ only easy nonconference game is at home against Samford. I can’t count how many points UF would be favoured over Samford! Florida’s Over/Under win total would be 5 (last year, I predicted 4-5 games). If the Gators are lucky, they could win six games this year, but more likely it will be 4-5 games in 2024.
Billy Napier has a hard year ahead of him. He’s my Coach of the Year if he wins six games on this schedule.
