After competing in his first Olympics this past summer, Victor Wembanyama, then 20 years old, led France to the gold medal game, where they ultimately lost to Team USA 98-87. Surprisingly, though, not many predicted that France would end up with a silver medal in 2024. Wembanyama finished the game with 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in his thirty minutes of action.

The San Antonio Spurs player’s Instagram post following the Olympics received over 780,000 likes and 2,900 comments.
