Wrexham preserved their unbeaten start to the League One season with a draw against Bolton, and James McClean couldn’t resist taking a shot at the away fans. What happened?
Wrexham began their League One campaign with a big win against Wycombe Wanderers, followed by a goalless draw against Bolton at the Toughsheet Community Stadium. McClean and the players had received a lot of criticism from Bolton’s home fans throughout the game, and the Wrexham captain retaliated after the game on Instagram, branding their venue the ‘Toughsh*t Stadium’.

In a media interview, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson stated that the deadlock was a good test for his team. They started so soon, and we weren’t prepared for it. But we grew into the game. We shown at times that we had quality. We had moments, and so did they.
