DONE DEAL : Portsmouth have announce the signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder after Fabrizio Romano ‘exclusive’

Pompey have reportedly agreed to sign Abdoulaye Kamara, a midfielder from Borussia Dortmund.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, an agreement to move the 19-year-old from the Westfalenstadion to the south coast has already been reached.

The Italian also ‘exclusively’ states that the Guinea-born ace has had a medical before making the permanent transition. Kamara has been with Dortmund since 2021, after formerly been with Paris Saint-Germain. He made the transition after playing for PSG’s under-19s and has 48 appearances for the Bundesliga club’s reserve squad.

Despite making two pre-season appearances for new boss Nuri Şahin’s first team, the imposing 6’4′ defensive midfielder will be permitted to depart the club to further develop in England.

If the transfer goes through, Kamara will be the Blues’ tenth acquisition of the summer and the second time sporting director Rich Hughes has strengthened John Mousinho’s midfield. Andre Dozzell, a former Ipswich and QPR midfielder, was signed before the season’s first game against Leeds, and the 25-year-old has started both of Pompey’s Championship games so far.Abdoulaye Kamara - BVB - Skills

Dozzell, Marlon Pack, Owen Moxon, Tom Lowery, and Terry Devlin are the current Fratton Park midfielders. No fee has been disclosed, and Kamara has one year remaining on his Dortmund deal. Transfermarkt.com values the adolescent at €1.50 million.
