SAD NEWS : Baltimore County police investigating incident involving Ravens star

WBFF OWINGS MILLS, Md. The Baltimore County Police Department is looking into an incident involving wide receiver Xavien “Zay” Flowers of the Baltimore Ravens, FOX45 News reported on Tuesday.

In response to a question regarding the incident from FOX45 News late on Tuesday, the Baltimore County Police Department stated that no suspects had been named and that the department was looking into a “alleged assault” in Owings Mills.
The Owings Mills location is the subject of an alleged attack that is currently being looked into by the Baltimore County Police Department. A spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department stated, “The contributing factors surrounding this case are still being determined; at this time, a suspect has not been named.”

The inquiry is thought to be connected to a report that was submitted in Acton, Massachusetts. Acton police informed FOX45 News that state law prevents the department from commenting further on the incident.

The Acton Police Department is not allowed to comment on this topic, respond to any enquiries, or provide any documents in response to your request under the Domestic Violence Act of 2014. Acton police spokesperson: “Massachusetts police departments have no discretion in this matter.”
As of right now, Flowers is not under arrest or listed as a suspect in Acton, Massachusetts, or Baltimore County.

 

Police investigation into Ravens' Zay Flowers for alleged domestic assault  'suspended' with no charges - Yahoo Sports

Since Tuesday, FOX45 News has contacted the Baltimore Ravens multiple times seeking response. A brief statement was made by a Ravens representative late on Thursday afternoon.

We are informed of the Zay Flowers report. A Baltimore Ravens representative stated, “We take these matters seriously and will have no further comment at this time.”
On January 16, neighbours and those with knowledge of the alleged incident report seeing Baltimore County police at Flowers’s Owings Mills residence. It was early in the morning, according to neighbours, that they remembered seeing police.

Police have been asked by FOX45 News for additional information regarding the alleged police visit and its relationship to the inquiry, but requests for comments have been turned down.

While being investigated by Baltimore County police, Flowers participated in the AFC Championship game on January 28 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

 

Following an impressive collegiate career at Boston College, Flowers was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.

 

FOX45 News has made contact with Zay Flowers’ representative as well. When questioned about the incident on Tuesday night, a person identifying himself as Flowers abruptly ended a phone call from FOX45 News. Requests for reaction from Flowers’s agent have not received a response.
