TAMPA — Following Friday’s game, Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel gave updates on the injuries of Benito Jones, Aaron Brewer, Erik Ezukanma, Odell Beckham Jr., and Patrick McMorris.
The Dolphins’ top receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., hasn’t practiced or played since signing.
Does McDaniel think Beckham will get enough practice before the season starts?
“I have a lot of hope for the future,” McDaniel stated. “Once more, I’m not anxious about it. You have to be really communicative and pay attention to people’s bodies in order to have hope. You just have to take each day as it comes, even if I know he’s feeling really upbeat about the way things are going. As I already stated, I don’t feel anxious about his involvement in this situation. He’s managed to
lead in a way that doesn’t include playing. It’s not easy to accomplish that, but his perspective is sound, so it’s a plus.”
Will the Miami Dolphins’ injured Odell Beckham Jr. practise?
The Dolphins could designate Beckham in a way that would prevent him from playing in at least the first four games of the season, if necessary.
Although Beckham has previously experienced knee problems, the specifics of his injury woes have not been made public.
Update on Jevon Holland’s injury from the Miami Dolphins
McDaniel stated of Holland, who is also sidelined due to an undisclosed ailment: “He was thrilled with his workout today. At this point, I would think it would be roughly day to day.”
That is really significant, given that Holland is among the most
taking into account that Holland is among the team’s most crucial players.
Dolphins injuries to Patrick McMorris and Erik Ezukanma
In reference to Ezukanma and McMorris, who were spotted in walking boots prior to the game, McDaniel stated: “As of right now, I know it won’t take more than a week to complete, but it might take less time.”
The centre, Brewer, has missed time due to a hand injury.
McDaniel remarked, “Aaron, nothing has really changed with that.” “I don’t know specifics, but I feel very good about it. That’s why, in my opinion, it was crucial that we were pleased with Rob Jones’ and Lester Cotton’s performance tonight and that they were only trying to give him some game experience.”
Why wasn’t Liam Eichenberg a Dolphins player?
Why is Liam Eichenberg, a centre and rest guard, on Saturday?
“Liam, it was more of a reaction to what he’s been doing day in day out and he’s probably had as good of a camp as anybody and really put together some good practices,” McDaniel stated.
“You know, it’s hard to forecast Week 1 for a lot of the guys, specifically because in the last couple days, you know, such major focus goes to all these huge opportunities for a lot of guys,” McDaniel said in reference to nose tackle Benito Jones’ season-long availability. I’m not at all anxious about it as of now. I also had to take a seat because I’ve been thinking about some of those guys, including Benito, because it’s just so important to me to really invest and be 100% present with the guys that are completing our roster.”
