The Milwaukee Bucks did everything they could to build the strongest squad possible to enable Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard make a deep playoff run.The management office recognises that, while Giannis’ injuries hampered their prospects of making a deep playoff run, the roster was insufficiently competitive to control a young and talented Indiana Pacers squad. Not only did they pick an exciting talent in AJ Johnson, but they also signed three promising free agents in Taurean Prince, Gary Trent, Jr., and Delon Wright. While some may believe that the Bucks have improved their overall roster, the front office is not resting on its laurels. They have signed a pair of potential players to compete for spots on the club during training camp.
The Milwaukee Bucks signed James.
Akinjo and Liam Robbins attend team training camp.
According to Cem Yolbulan of the Dairyland Express, the Milwaukee Bucks have signed two promising players who have yet to play in the NBA.Both Akinjo and Robbins have had training camp deals with different clubs, but they have yet to make their NBA debuts. Akinjo, a 6-foot-1 guard, has struggled with efficiency his whole basketball career. Akinjo, an undrafted free agent from the 2022 NBA Draft, played with the Knicks before concluding the season with the Wisconsin Herd, where he averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 21.3 minutes per game.
Robbins is a seven-footer fromWaukesha, Wisconsin native who spent five years in college at Drake, Minnesota, and Vanderbilt. After going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, he briefly joined the New Orleans Pelicans before sustaining a season-ending injury in January that prohibited him from playing in a G League game. Both players will be excited about the opportunity to play for a contender and will work hard to replace one of the Milwaukee Bucks’ underperforming players. It remains to be seen whether they can force their way into the league.
