Predictions for Clemson Tigers’ Huge Season Opener Against Georgia Bulldogs

Here are the predictions of the entire Clemson staff as the Tigers prepare to meet the Georgia Bulldogs in each team’s season opener. After months of anticipation, the game is now out.

The No. 14 Clemson Tigers will play the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs in the AFLAC Classic at Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday at noon eastern. The Tigers are attempting to rebound from a disappointing season in 2023, when they finished 9-4. Most programs would be thrilled with such a season. However, after more than a decade of winning at least ten games, making the College Football Playoff six times, and winning two national titles, Clemson hopes to return to championship contention.

has applied Nick Saban’s pattern to his alma mater. Georgia has won two national titles in the last three seasons, losing only two games. This year’s CFP will be expanded to include 12 teams. It’s possible the Tigers and Bulldogs will clash again.
For now, here are the predictions for the game from the entire Clemson staff.

Clemson should put up a fight against the nation’s top team, but it will not be enough. Following a dismal season last year, Clemson will need to demonstrate that it is capable of competing with programs such as Georgia. Until the Tigers achieve this, it’s difficult to support them.

Georgia 31, Clemson 24.
I’ve been looking for ways for Clemson to win this game all week. The Tigers’ defence is adept of creating turnovers. Georgia’s running back situation is currently in a state of upheaval. It’s the season opener, and neither team has played a game in eight months. Anything might happen. The Tigers’ offence is the wildcard here. I believe it will perform well, but not good enough against a Georgia defence that makes effective adjustments during the game. I anticipate a competitive game in the fourth quarter, but I believe the Bulldogs will prevail.

Kenneth Teape, Staff Writer: Georgia 24, Clemson 13.

The Clemson Tigers’ defence wants to prove it is the best in the country, and they will be tested straight away against Georgia. They will have some success, limiting the Bulldogs to 24 points. However, the offence will struggle, resulting in a season-opening loss by 11.Brad Wakai, Staff Writer: Georgia 27, Clemson 20.
Clemson has been eager to face Georgia, seeking to disprove the critics by defeating the preseason top-ranked squad. While they keep the game close for a while, they ultimately lack the necessary resources to pull off the upset.

Nick Ziegler, Staff Writer: Georgia 35, Clemson 17.
While the Clemson Tigers should be able to make a few stops against the Georgia Bulldogs, any team in the country will have a difficult time slowing down quarterback Carson Beck and the Bulldog offence. On the other hand, Clemson’s offence will most certainly fall behind, resulting in a double-digit loss for the Tigers.
