BREAKING NEWS : Bobby Witt Jr. Makes Kansas City Royals History With..

The Kansas City Royals would like to forget their weekend in Houston against the Astros. Kansas City came in with all kinds of momentum, only to get knocked around by the American League West-leading Astros. They also lost first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino for the rest of the regular season to a broken thumb on Thursday.

That said, the Royals still have a hold on the second wild card place in the American League. Despite the poor weekend, superstar Bobby Witt Jr. made history by doing something the organisation had never done before.

Using social media, Harold R. Kuntz states:

According to the Bally’s broadcast, Bobby Witt Jr. is the only player in Royals history to smash 30 home runs in consecutive seasons.

Witt Jr., who is competing against Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees for the American League MVP Award, has had an amazing season. This season, he earned his first All-Star selection and came in second in the Home Run Derby. At.341 as of this writing, he is a strong candidate to win the American League hitting title.

With 30 home runs and 97 RBI, he and Salvador Perez together form the beating heart of the team. The Royals are attempting to qualify for the postseason for the first time since their last World Series victory in 2015.

The Royals and Cleveland Guardians will square off in a crucial divisional game on Labour Day. Monday’s first pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET.
