DONE DEAL : Philadelphia 76ers Sign Historic College Player

Max Fiedler recently finished up a strong collegiate basketball campaign for Rice.

In 32 games, he shot 66.3% from the field and concluded his senior year of college with averages of 9.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

Fiedler was not chosen in the 2024 NBA Draft over the summer.

The Philadelphia 76ers revealed on Saturday that they had signed him to a deal.

According to 76ers.com: “Max Fiedler has joined the Philadelphia 76ers, as announced by President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey today.” The deal’s parameters weren’t revealed in accordance with team policy.”

Austin Krell provided more information.

According to Krell: “It is true, as previously reported, that the Sixers have signed Max Fiedler to an Exhibit 10 deal.

He holds the record for the most points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals of any player in Division I history, with 1,000.”
Fiedler is a talented player who the 76ers should keep in their organisation, even though he will probably be waived before the season (in the G League).

Without a doubt, he might make a fantastic candidate to sign a two-way (or 10-day) deal at some point soon.

The 76ers, on the other hand, are coming off a 47-35 campaign in which they finished as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

In six games, they were defeated by Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks in the NBA playoffs’ opening round.

Leading the team is Joel Embiid, followed by Tyrese Maxey (and now Paul George).
