DONE DEAL: Carolina Hurricanes. Have announced the signing of another potential star.

The Carolina Hurricanes have signed outstanding forward Seth Jarvis to a new long-term deal. The Canes announced over the weekend that Jarvis had signed an eight-year, $63.2 million contract. The 2020 13th overall pick became a restricted free agent following the 2023-24 NHL season.

It is vital to understand that Jarvis’ deal will include a significant amount of deferred money. He will receive $29.24 million in signing bonuses spread over the first five years of the contract.

 

In announcing the deal, Canes general manager Eric Tulsky stated that the team is enthusiastic about Jarvis’ future and referred to him as a franchise cornerstone.

Jarvis is coming off a career-best season in which he scored 33 goals and 34 assists for a total of 67 points. He was the team’s second-leading scorer during the regular season and contributed nine points (five goals and four assists) in the playoffs

.

Overall, Jarvis has 64 goals and 82 assists for 146 points in 231 regular-season games since making his NHL debut in 2021-22.
