DOWN DEAL: Washington Commanders has announced the signing of a critical prospective star player.

Did the Washington Commanders come across a steal during the waiver wire period after final cuts?

The Commanders signed wide receiver Noah Brown this week, and several analysts have already marked it in red as a wonderful decision by the organisation.
One of those analysts even dubbed it one of the greatest talking points coming out of preseason, with Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon writing the following:

The move was undoubtedly a welcome surprise for supporters who were likely perplexed by the wideout approach surrounding Jayden Daniels following the trade of Jahan Dotson.

However, Brown is a surprising addition to the depth chart as a former seventh-round pick in 2017 who has been productive in the pros and has previous ties to the Commanders. He was Terry McLaurin’s teammate at Ohio State and spent time with Quinn in Dallas. Injuries will be a concern after struggling to remain healthy in Houston this summer, but the benefits surely appear attractive.

Brown may not be able to dislodge Dyami Brown immediately, and the Commanders will continue to want Luke McCaffrey to develop with Daniels. However, the attractive value signing could pay off handsomely, both for the emerging franchise passer and possibly in the short term.
