The Philadelphia 76ers have remained active this offseason, despite having completed the most of their summer business by signing players such as Paul George, Caleb Martin, Andre Drummond, and several others. The 76ers are already regarded as championship candidates, but it appears that they are going above and above before the 2024-25 season begins. After adding Max Fielder and Judah Mintz, the 76ers are about to make their third roster addition in the previous four days. According to Michael Scotto on X, the 76ers will sign Jared Brownridge to an Exhibit-10 deal. Brownridge has never played in the NBA, although he has been with the Delaware Blue Coats, the 76ers’ G League team.
Brownridge had gotten an Exhibit 10 contract from the 76ers before, but he was waived on both occasions. Exhibit 10 contracts allow players to obtain two-way contracts or even regular-season roster positions. However, Brownridge will most likely be waived again. However, if he remains with the 76ers’ G League club for at least 60 days, he will be eligible for a bonus. Of course, Brownridge adds no value to the 76ers’ roster because he has never played a game for the team and is unlikely to do so in the future. However, he definitely contributes significantly to their future with his skills.
