Simone Biles assured Chicago Bears fans that she’ll be rocking orange and navy this season after she faced backlash for wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket to support her husband, Jonathan Owens.
The 11-time Olympic gold medalist was stopped by TMZ in New York City on Thursday when asked if she’s gotten “any Bears gear yet?”
“I have plenty now! So don’t you worry guys,” she said while walking and laughing.
Biles, 27, broke her silence on the topic after Bears fans called her out for wearing a jacket from the safety’s former team to a preseason game last month.
Owens, 29, previously played the 2023 season with the Packers before he became a free agent and signed a two-year contract with the Bears for the upcoming season. Notably, the teams are archrivals.
Biles attended a preseason game in a jacket with black-and-white photos of her husband playing for the Wisconsin team plastered all over. It also featured a green Packers logo on the shoulder pad.
The gymnast wore the controversial jacket over a black romper and added a black Prada bucket hat, black and white sneakers, a black Balenciaga purse and black reflective sunglasses to the look.
Biles posted several photos –– including one of her kissing Owen’s check –– of her in the fashionable outfit at Soldier Field in Chicago.
It didn’t take long for fans to call her out on social media, despite Biles returning home from winning three gold medals at the Paris Olympics just a few days beforehand.
“It’s ridiculously unaware of your surroundings and insulting to her husband,” one person commented.
“With all due respect, Simone Biles gotta throw that jacket in the trash ASAP. How did she get in with that?” another social media user asked.
“Time to get a bears version of that jacket now 
,” someone else suggested.
Both Biles and Owens –– who tied the knot in April 2023 –– have each gone all out to support their spouse at the respective sports competitions over the last few years.
The power couple are no strangers to controversy and previously shook off the haters after he faced backlash for calling himself the “catch” out of the two of them.
