SAD NEWS : Nottingham Forest confirm key players six month injury

Danilo landed awkwardly on his left leg just six minutes into the contest. Danilo, a Brazilian midfielder, was taken off the pitch on a stretcher less than ten minutes into Nottingham Forest’s season opener against Bournemouth after appearing to suffer a serious leg injury.

The terrible event occurred shortly after the six-minute mark of the game, when Danilo and Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo both tried to compete for the ball. The players clashed, but Danilo appeared to harm himself by landing hard on his left foot.

Danilo, who joined Forest from Palmeiras last year, was seen asking for aid as he remained on the ground, clearly in pain.

Danilo’s injuries were not immediately known, however he was reported to have broken his leg. Images from the incident appeared to reveal the severity of his wounds. The game resumed following the delay, with Nottingham Forest leading 1-0 at halftime. The match resulted in a tie.
