Police Issue Arrest Warrant for Joe Mixon
The running back’s sixth Bengals season just concluded.
Cincinnati — Bengals running back Joe Mixon has an arrest warrant out for him.
Mixon is accused of pointing a gun at a victim and shouting, “You should be popped in the face,” according to court filings. I should shoot you right now. The police can’ get me.”
According to police, it occurred at Downtown’s 3rd Street and Walnut Street sometime on January 21.
In response, the Bengals released the following statement:
“The club is aware that Joe Mixon has been charged with a misdemeanor. The club will not say further at this time while it looks into the matter.
Mixon faces charges related to escalated menacing.
The University of Oklahoma running back had a criminal record prior to his time as a player.
