JUST IN : West Ham United prioritising 2025 striker signing

According to reports, West Ham United will make it a priority to recruit a new striker in 2019. The East London team is apparently working behind the scenes to make this happen.
As per a report published by Football Insider, West Ham United’s #1 aim for 2025 is to buy a striker. During the summer transfer window, the East London club acquired Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund. But they also intended to hire Tammy Abraham, who ended up signing with AC Milan.

Summer memories and West Ham United
West Ham United had a fantastic summer transfer window, bringing in elite players and unloading the majority of their benchwarmers from the starting lineup. In the past two months, The Hammers have been among the busiest clubs in the world, with Tim Steidten working there.

Being the sole striker to arrive at the London Stadium during the summer transfer window, Niclas Fullkrug strengthened the offensive unit. Other players like Luis Guilherme and Crysencio Summerville helped the Hammers bolster their offense. The most notable newcomer was Jean-Clair Todibo, who Manchester United and Juventus were interested in.

The other players who signed with West Ham United were Wes Foderingham, Max Kilman, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mohamadou Kante, Guido Rodriguez, and Carlos Soler. The East London team was active in the transfer market until the very end of the summer transfer season. They also broke up with a few misfits.

The two players that made the most money were Flynn Downes and Said Benrahma. West Ham also sold Nathan Trott and Thilo Kehrer. Nayef Aguerd, Kurt Zouma, Maxwel Cornet, James Ward-Prowse, and Kante left on loan, while Ben Johnson, Divin Mubama, Joseph Ananga, and Angelo Ogbonna left as free agents.

In 2025, will there be another striker in London?
The Hammers intend to sign a striker next year despite their hectic summer transfer window schedule. West Ham’s first aim now is to sign a top-tier forward, since they missed out on Tammy Abraham. They want to sign a center-forward, even if there have been rumors recently suggesting that Danny Ings may get a fresh start at West Ham.

In an attempt to get Joel Matip in a Bosman deal, the Hammers have been quite busy. But according to the most recent report, they’ll be working hard to get a striker for next season. It will be intriguing to observe which center-forward they add to their roster in 2025.
