The New York Giants’ dismal start to the season continues as they dropped to 0-2 after losing to the Washington Commanders 21–18 on Sunday.

The offense found its footing in Week 2 after failing to score a touchdown in their season-opening defeat to the Minnesota Vikings, but it wasn’t enough to seal a victory.

The Giants’ loss on Sunday created some regrettable NFL history. According to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, New York became the first team in history to score three or more touchdowns in a game without giving up a touchdown and yet lose in regulation.

Throughout the game, Daniel Jones completed two touchdown passes without making an interception. Austin Seibert scored all 21 points in a flawless 7-for-7 performance, but the Giants gave up seven field goals against Washington despite the defense keeping Jayden Daniels and the Commanders’ attack off the scoreboard.
