BREAKING NEWS : Man accused of impersonating law enforcement officer in Meridianville

 

WAFF: MERIDIANVILLE, AL After supposedly posing as a law enforcement official in Meridianville on Thursday morning, a guy has been taken into custody.

A Madison County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said that a resident in Meridianville discovered a man who had allegedly obtained forceful entrance into their garage. When the man was confronted, the man claimed to be a government agent.

After leaving the house on foot, the suspect was discovered by the police standing between Meridianville Bottom Road and Highway 231.

The suspect has been identified as Cameron Gottlieb. Following his arrest, he was accused of third-degree burglary and posing as a law enforcement official.

Gottlieb is presently being jailed on a $20,000 bond at the Madison County Jail.
