A man died after 999 personnel attempted to save his life in Swindon this evening (Thursday).
At approximately 6.30 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to reports of an unresponsive patient on the roadside in Prospect Place, Old Town.
Police roped off the area as medics attempted to revive the guy in his fifties. However, after about an hour, he was declared dead. Two double-crewed ambulances, a Wiltshire Air Ambulance crew, an ambulance operations officer, and many police units were present.
The victim was put into the back of an ambulance, where his family, who had been rushed to the scene by a police officer, said their final goodbyes.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and the route was reopened to traffic and pedestrians about 8.15 p.m.
