FA issue 11 word statement after Preston North End man’s alleged bite on Liverpool loanee

The PNE attacker allegedly bit Blackburn Rovers defender Owen Beck during the Sunday derby.
The English Football Association has revealed that Preston North End striker Milutin Osmajic is being investigated for an alleged bite.

The event occurred during the final minutes of Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Blackburn Rovers, a derby in which both teams finished with ten men. Preston’s Sam Greenwood was sent off immediately before halftime, while Blackburn’s Owen Beck was dismissed with one minute remaining in normal time. Following Beck’s late attack on PNE midfielder Duane Holmes, CCTV captured Osmajic approaching the Blackburn player and ramming his head into his neck. I was just told this while doing the Sky interview. Listen, all I can say is that there is no place for that, and we are aware that we cannot do it. “Mistimed tackles and such similar incidents are unavoidable in the game; you accept them. Anything that isn’t, we know how to deal with. But I haven’t seen anything, so I’m just going off your word that there was an incident. I will wait and see what occurs.
