West Brom star earns high praise from Wayne Rooney after Plymouth Argyle triumph

West Brom striker Josh Maja received high praise from Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne Rooney following his winning goal against the Pilgrims.
West Brom and Plymouth Argyle had a competitive game at the weekend, but the hosts won in the end. He was identified by Sassuolo loanee Uros Racic, who was making his first appearance since joining Carlos Corberan’s squad.

Maja has now scored six goals in as many Championship outings for West Brom. The striker has had a wonderful start to the season after dealing with a number of injuries in his first season.

Now, the West Brom matchwinner has received tremendous accolades.

The former Manchester United and England striker thought his team handled the West Brom star well, but they couldn’t stop Maja from scoring the winning goal. According to the Express and Star, he said:

“He’s a fascinating player who is difficult to prepare for. He drops in and enters a

We were aware of the false nine position. “At times, I thought we handled him well, but when a player is confidence in scoring goals, they always seem to have that one chance and can make the difference.

“I thought we managed him effectively at times, but he creates the moment that wins the game. He’s a good player, and West Brom is a good squad with experience and a track record of success.”

Maja’s hot streak.
Maja is in some of the greatest shape of his career after going through some difficult years. West Brom will have hoped for this when they signed him last summer, and while it may have taken some time, the Baggies will be ecstatic with his current success. The 25-year-old initially piqued Sunderland’s interest as a promising young player before joining Bordeaux. Maja impressed in France, but failed to impress during loan spells in England with Fulham and Stoke City.

Nonetheless, the free transfer deal for him last summer appeared to be a steal. He is currently on a hot streak. Maja is proving to be a big challenge.

High praise.
Wayne Rooney is one of the most praised strikers in the game.

The Plymouth Argyle manager is one of England’s best strikers of all time, so West Brom star Maja will take pleasure in Rooney’s respect for his playing following the weekend victory. Maja will be looking to continue his good form as West Brom travel to Sheffield Wednesday this weekend. The Owls haven’t won since their first game, so the Nigerian is expecting another successful outing.
