An intriguing question has been made to Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer.
The 54-year-old had a storied career with Newcastle United, captaining his hometown club following his world-record £15 million transfer. Shearer became Newcastle’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 206 in total, a record he will hold for the foreseeable future. However, Shearer did not win many awards during his career. He did lift the Premier League trophy while playing for Blackburn Rovers. He did not win a single title at Newcastle United, despite playing for the Magpies during a period when Manchester United dominated English football.

On the most recent episode of The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker questioned Shearer if he had to choose between Manchester United and Sunderland as his new club.
“Neither,” he replied.
“I’d take up golf!”
Shearer’s quick-witted retort had Lineker and Micah Richards in stitches, as they burst out laughing in reaction to the Geordie hero.
