A man has been hospitalized following a car crash in Gorse Hill, and police are still looking for a bike rider who may have been involved. Wiltshire Air Ambulance responded to the scene but is unable to provide specifics since the incident is continuing.
On Friday (July 19), about 1.30pm, police were alerted to a crash on Cricklade Road between a car and a bike, believed to be a motorcycle.
Pictures show a silver automobile with front-end damage following the incident, which was reported by an eyewitness to have occurred near Hawthorne Pharmacy.
While a guy was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the search for the rider continues.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson stated: “We were called to a collision on Cricklade Road, Swindon, shortly before 1.30pm today involving a car and a bike.
“A male has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.”Enquiries are presently underway to locate the cyclist involved.
“Any info should be reported to 101 and quote log number 154 of today.”
Cricklade Road is said to be closed as of 3 p.m., with two ambulances and many police vehicles on the site.
Swindon buses are using Cirencester Way to avoid the road.
