The Eagles’ head coach provided an update on the senior following practice on Tuesday. Bill O’Brien, the head coach of Boston College football, provided an update on running back Kye Robichaux after practice on Tuesday.
“Yeah, I think he’s doing better,” O’Brien remarked. “I just got in for one play during the game, but I’m definitely doing better. It’s not a significant issue; it’s just something we have to keep an eye on, and I believe he’s working hard to recover.” Robichaux, who is in his second season with the Eagles, missed nearly all of the team’s Week 4 game against the Michigan State Spartans over the weekend. So far this year, the senior has 31 rush attempts for 121 yards and one touchdown as well.
as two catches for ten yards and a touchdown. Turbo Richard, a sophomore running back, began in place of Robichaux on Saturday. Richard rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown on ten attempts in the triumph.
O’Brien discussed Richard’s improvement and what he likes about him so far. “I think Turbo is very tough and that’s what I like about him the most,” O’Brien told the crowd. “He’s a very tough, young person, and I believe that having that level of physical and mental toughness when you enter college is significant. Not everyone has that. They can gain it; they can build toughness via repetitions and other means. He’s tough since.
the day he came in here. That strikes me as really good. He’s clever, a very instinctive runner, has good hands out of the backfield, and understands pass protection; I’m delighted we have him. “He’s an excellent player.”
Robichaux’s status for Boston College’s Week 5 game against his previous team, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, has not been determined.
