DONE DEAL : Boston College Eagles signed another local recruit to their class of ’26.

The Eagles add another local recruit to the class of ’26. Boston College football received a commitment on Thursday night from Bacon Academy (Conn.) ’26 EDGE Mason Leak. The 6-foot-5 defender made his announcement over social media.

“I am blessed and pleased to announce that I have committed to Boston College to continue my athletic and academic career! Leak tweeted, “#GoEagles.”

 

The Eagles, who are not currently rated by 247sports.com, were Leak’s only claimed offer. He paid an unofficial visit to campus earlier this fall, during the Michigan State game. He received his Boston.Boston College lands commitment from '26 EDGE Mason Leak

The college has extended an offer for the trip. He has also attended a number of camps, including Syracuse, which he visited this summer. His major recruiter at his position was defensive line coach Jeff Comissiong, while local recruiter Jonathan DiBiaso and general manager Spencer Dickow were equally important in his recruiting. “I believe that Boston College has the resources to turn me into a hardworking man,” Leak told Eagle Insider. Head coach Bill O’Brien had an impact on the young junior, explaining how he could be employed on the defensive line or as a linebacker. “I also believe that Coach O’Brien has nothing but good intentions for me to exceed and excel at turning me into an unstoppable outside linebacker and pass rusher.” With his size, he also competes on the Bacon Academy track team, where he set a personal best high jump of 6’5″ last year.

During his visit, he was able to see the Eagles’ comeback against the Spartans, and the squad and the community of British Columbia piqued his interest. “The team doesn’t count themselves out; they keep fighting until the very end,” the coaches said.
