Charlton left to sweat on Kayne Ramsay injury as Nathan Jones also issues updates on Lloyd Jones and Chuks Aneke

Nathan Jones says Charlton will have to wait to see the extent of Kayne Ramsay’s injury, and he also addresses Lloyd Jones and Chuks Aneke’s absences against Stockport.

Right-back Ramsay limped out of the game against the Hatters after seeming to twist his knee awkwardly at the halfway mark.

The former Harrogate Town player was replaced by Rarmani Edmonds-Green after 37 minutes at The Valley.

Jones clarified: “We’ll see. We will scan it. It’s a minor knee injury. Hopefully nothing too serious, but I thought REG was great when he came on, so fair play. It’s a tough one for him because he’s been in excellent form. Hopefully not too serious.”

Lloyd Jones and Aneke were not included in the matchday squad.

The Addicks manager added: “Chuks has just felt a small bit in his groin, so as is often the case with Chuks, you can’t take chances. So we did not.

“Lloyd baffled me. He finished the game without any problems, trained on Tuesday, and felt something. We scanned something and something came up that we weren’t looking for.Lloyd Jones nets late winner to earn Charlton victory at Wigan | NewsChain

“It was very bizarre. But ideally neither will be out for long, and we will proceed from there.”
