Manchester United have started another season in turbulent fashion under the guidance of Erik ten Hag and the Dutchman is now fighting for his place at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag survived the latest international break and looks likely to keep his post until the Christmas period at a minimum, as he attempts to turn the tide in Manchester.
Despite making enquiries, INEOS passed on switching managers in the summer but will no doubt be keeping their tabs on potential replacements should they pull the trigger on Ten Hag.
One of the men previously linked with the post is former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic.
However, United could miss the chance to land the German, with Premier League rivals West Ham eyeing up the talented 41-year-old.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Hammers are ready to approach Terzic should Julen Lopetegui pay the price for his poor start to life in London.
Terzic has a previous relationship with West Ham, having worked there from 2015-2017 as assistant manager under Slaven Bilic.
Having reached the Champions League final last season, Terzic’s stock has risen dramatically across Europe and after leaving his post in the summer, he is now ready for a fresh challenge.
After Thomas Tuchel accepted the England head coach role last week, INEOS will be aware that the pool of potential replacements for Ten Hag is quite shallow, with unattached top coaches at a premium across Europe.
United’s poor start has left them in 12th position in the Premier League, having scored just seven goals in their eight games so far.
Furthermore, just two points from their first two Europa League fixtures has left Ten Hag desperate for three points against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe on Thursday night to kick-start their run in Europe.
