Clemson, SC — Clemson Ventures was founded as an affiliate entity of Clemson University Athletics dedicated to maximizing revenue-generation techniques in the ever-changing college sports landscape. Clemson Ventures is structured as a legitimate private-sector corporation, with full-service marketing and NIL agency skills to create income.
Just as IPTAY pioneered collegiate athletics fundraising in 1934 and continues to lead the industry today, Clemson Ventures aspires to do the same for the athletic department’s involvement with outside business prospects. Clemson Ventures, a first-of-its-kind arrangement in college sports, directs both existing and new resources toward the organization.
An initiative created by Director of Athletics Graham Neff, Clemson Ventures further integrates the University’s internal multimedia rights with a comprehensive sales, media, marketing, NIL agency, and business operations unit.
Additionally, by forming a strategic NIL agency with staff and services within the organization, Clemson can aggressively find and manage meaningful and sustainable NIL opportunities for student-athletes.

Core Components of Clemson Ventures:
Multimedia Rights Integration: Clemson is one of a handful of schools nationally that manages its own multimedia rights internally. Clemson Ventures expands upon this to optimize the university’s multimedia rights, offering a strategic and holistic approach to content distribution, sponsorship, and partnerships, ensuring maximum impact and revenue generation.
Media and Original Content: Clemson’s investment in recent years in both its original content and live productions infrastructure has moved Clemson into a position of strength, including becoming one of the first to launch its own streaming platform, Clemson+. Ventures will pitch, manage and distribute high-quality original programming, leveraging modern media platforms to expand Clemson Athletics’ reach and influence on social media, Clemson+, over-the-air television and beyond, while continuing to enhance the game viewership experience for 150+ competitions and own-and-operated events annually.
NIL Agency: Recognizing the need for innovative and sustainable NIL opportunities, Clemson Ventures will leverage its position to build a robust NIL agency. In addition to comprehensive support to student-athletes, Ventures will be facilitating opportunities while ensuring adherence to educational and regulatory standards as they develop.
Sales and Marketing: This unit will increase revenue by implementing new sales methods and cutting-edge marketing and social media campaigns, while improving Clemson’s relationship with fans, alumni, and corporate partners.
Business Operations Unit: Clemson Ventures’ newly formed business operations unit will focus on refining internal procedures, financial management, and operational efficiencies, hence increasing the unit’s ability to earn and sustain income.
In line with its strategic aims, Clemson Ventures is actively seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to head this ground-breaking enterprise. Further rollouts of staff details and agency operations are planned for the near future.
