‘Setback’ – Fabian Hurzeler responds to Brighton concerns after midfielder ruled out for ‘7 weeks’

Brighton are still dealing with injuries ahead of their Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday. Brighton are fifth in the league standings after a hard-fought 1-0 win against Newcastle last weekend, while Gary O’Neil’s Wolves remain bottom of the table with no wins in their first eight matches.

Brighton’s medical team will be working hard this week to get key players back on the pitch. Danny Welbeck (back), Solly March (knee), Matt O’Riley (ankle), Adam Webster (thigh), and Joao Pedro (ankle) are all expected to miss the Wolves game, while flying winger Yankuba Minteh (muscular) is a doubt.

Another vital player, James Milner, will miss the game against Wolves at the Amex Stadium. The 38-year-old started Albion’s opening three Premier League games this season, but suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal in August.

The injury was first classed as mild, but Albion manager Fabian Hurzeler revealed the former Liverpool star had suffered a setback and expected him to be out for “several weeks.”

“We need to be patient. It is not something that can be resolved in one or two weeks. This will take several weeks. We can’t give a specific timeline for when he’ll return, but we were more optimistic before the break, to be honest.”
