Teven Jenkins is enjoying a strong year and has been vital to their current three-match win streak.
Jenkins, 26, has earned the Bears 14 points so far this NFL season and is expected to surpass his career-high of 25 set last season. However, he has been tipped to leave the team as the guard’s four-year contract expires in the spring. According to Bleacher Report’s NFL scouting department, Jenkins would be a perfect fit for the Houston Texans, who don’t have many obvious holes on either side of the ball, but their situation at left guard could be categorized as such.
“Kenyon Green has had numerous opportunities to demonstrate his ability to be a dependable starter, but it hasn’t really happened.
“If the Texans can find the money to pursue Jenkins in free agency, they could truly have the best of both worlds.
“He has found a role as a solid starting guard after struggling at tackle.”
In 2021, Jenkins received a four-year contract worth $8 million with the Bears after excelling at Oklahoma State University.
