St Mirren have revealed that former Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town defender Jaden Brown has left by mutual consent.
The 25-year-old joined the Scottish club in the summer transfer window, having spent the 2023/24 season on loan. Following Brown’s guilty plea to three driving offenses, the club acknowledged that an internal inquiry was underway.
While there has been no formal comment detailing the outcome of the probe, St Mirren has confirmed Brown’s departure. The club issued a brief statement, which read: “St Mirren Football Club can report that Jaden Brown has left the club by mutual consent. Jaden will return to England to be closer to his family. The club will make no additional comments.
Brown, a Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate, represented England at several junior levels before beginning his senior career with Huddersfield Town.
He made 31 appearances for the Terriers before leaving in 2021 to join Sheffield Wednesday. After leaving Hillsborough, Brown spent time in Lincoln City before moving north of the border.
