DONE DEAL : Winnipeg Blue Bombers announces the trade of two potential players including a local product

Still recovering after the Grey Cup, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed three players on Wednesday, including a local product.

The Bombers have signed new contracts with Manitoba Bisons receiver AK Gassama, long snapper Ian Leroux, and American receiver Keilahn Harris.

The 25-year-old Gassama, from Winnipeg, was the Bombers’ sixth-round pick in the 2024 Canadian Football League draft. The former Vincent Massey Trojans player attended the club’s training camp in the spring. He made one catch in the preseason before returning to school with the Bisons, where he had the fourth highest receiving totals in the Canada West conference (451 yards). He was chosen a conference all-star for the third consecutive season.

Leroux, 25, returns after being taken by the Bombers in the fourth round of this year’s draft. He returned to the University of Laval from a training camp where he won the Vanier Cup last week.Club de football Rouge et Or de l'Université Laval | #48 Ian Leroux

Harris, 23, attended Oklahoma Baptist University for three years. He has also played for the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League.
