JUST IN : Nuno Espirito Santo made the worst Nottingham Forest blunder that cannot be repeated.

Nottingham Forest has had a strong start to their Premier League campaign, with a lot of outstanding performers now playing at the Garibaldi.

Forest has played exceptionally well defensively. Henry Winter commended Nikola Milenkovic, and the entire back five has proven to be quite solid.

Chris Wood has been given a new nickname by Shay Given, and he has continued where he left off last season, scoring eight goals in 11 starts in 2024/25.

Forest have suffered a number of injuries this season, all of which appear to have occurred in the middle of the pitch.

Danilo broke his ankle in the opening game of the season. Ibrahim Sangare, who had started the season strongly, later developed a long-term hamstring ailment.

Since then, one player has stated that Nuno Espirito Santo made a tremendous error at the start of the season, and it is critical that he does not repeat it when those two are healthy.Nottingham Forest share exactly why they couldn't select Nikola Milenkovic vs Bournemouth

Nuno Espirito Santo can never dump Nicolas Dominguez again.
With injuries taking their toll on the Forest engine room, Dominguez has been handed a chance to restore himself at City Ground.

It’s fair to say he hasn’t been disappointed, and he’s made his mark in the middle of the park for Forest.

Espirito Santo has already described Dominguez as’special’, and it’s fair to assume that he values his contributions to the squad, even if he wasn’t the first pick when the season began.

Who Scored demonstrates how vital he is to the Forest team, with 22 successful tackles this season, the second-most in the group.

For context, the man at the top of the list, Ola Aina, has played nearly twice as many minutes as Dominguez.

Dominguez also ranks second in interceptions, with 12, the same number as his midfield rival, Ryan Yates.

Dominguez has had only five unsuccessful touches of the ball this season, making him a real threat when it comes to ball control.

Dominguez is vital to Forest, and Espirito Santo must recognize this.
It’s unbelievable to think Dominguez was the fourth choice for a central midfield shirt at the start of the season.

The £8 million signing from Bologna was quite consistent last season, and fans took to him after he arrived from Serie A.

Injuries to Danilo and Sangare have given him an opportunity to push his claim, and he has kept loan signing James Ward-Prowse at arm’s length this season.

When the two injured players return, Espirito Santo may have a decision to make.

Dominguez, on the other hand, has demonstrated his ability to play both ends of the pitch, and the Forest head coach should never consider dropping the Argentine again.World Cup 2018: Danilo ruled out with injury for Brazil's Group E clash against Costa Rica | The Independent | The Independent
