Texas Star Arch Manning Could Eventually Replace Former $242 Million Pro Bowl QB

Arch Manning, the Texas Longhorns quarterback, is not available for the NFL draft until 2026, but fans are nonetheless interested in potential possibilities. A lot may change between now and the 2026 NFL draft, so this is more of a fun exercise to determine Manning’s greatest prospective landing destinations. Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports published a list of some of the better potential fits, which included the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints. Teams looking for a quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft will most likely take the team out of the Manning sweepstakes. Easterling also recommended the Pittsburgh Steelers as a good fit for Manning.

“Teams like the New York Jets (Aaron Rodgers) and Los Angeles Rams (Matthew Stafford) could be looking to move on from aging veterans potentially heading into retirement, while others like the New York Giants (Daniel Jones), New Orleans Saints (Derek Carr), Pittsburgh Steelers (Justin Fields, Russell Wilson) and Tennessee Titans (Will Levis) could be looking for long-term upgrades over what they currently have at the top of the depth chart,”Arch Manning will make first start at QB for No. 1 Texas – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth Easterling wrote on Sunday, Oct. 14. Russell Wilson agreed to a one-year contract with the Steelers in 2024, after the Denver Broncos dismissed their previous five-year, $242 million quarterback. Both Wilson and Justin Fields will be free agents in 2025, but the Steelers may choose to re-sign one of the veterans as a potential bridge quarterback for

a longer-term solution, such as Manning in 2026.
For the time being, Manning must strengthen his NFL draft stock, as the star is slated to emerge as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback in 2025.
